WLC Animals Need Your Help

Please consider contributing to the care of these deserving animals. Some of these animals were confiscated from people who kept them as illegal pets; some owners relinquish a pet because they no longer can or want to care for their animal; and some are rehabilitated animals that are determined to be non-releasable, meaning they cannot survive in the wild. For these animals, Wildlife Learning Center becomes their permanent home, where they receive life-long care.

WLC Animals Need Your Help

Summer is just around the corner, so enroll your child in a summer he or she will never forget!

Campers ages 5 to 9 will love this fun and exciting look into the world of animals from big to small, and scaly to fluffy, and everything in between! Campers will spend the week exploring the diversity of wildlife, animal diets, habitats, enrichment, and even star in a camper-led animal presentation.

Campers ages 9 to 14 will get an introduction to the knowledge and experience needed to work with animals. Campers will study the differences between animal groups, diets, care, and enrichment, which will give them the understanding to perform a wildlife presentation for their family and friends on the last day of camp.

WLC Fundraiser

Zeus The Blind Owl

Zeus was given a home at Wildlife Learning Center in the summer of 2012.  Prior to living at WLC, Zeus was treated at a wildlife rehabilitation facility after he was found emaciated and blind on someone’s front porch in Central California.  Veterinarians nursed him back to health, but deemed him “non-releasable” due to his loss of vision, preventing him from hunting and surviving on his own in the wild.  It’s believed that he only has about 10% of his vision.
